Project READ
Engage in ART
Twenty four Project READ students took part in our annual Art Night this past week. Students gained inspiration from famous artists introduced during the program, including Jackson Pollock. The event focused around community, as much of the artwork created will be hung on display at our annual summer BBQ and Awards Ceremony.
Students created a "helping chain," where each child added a link by writing how they would help their community. Students also took part in a Jackson Pollock-inspired painting project, using marbles to create the famous splatter paint style. Students had an opportunity to create original art projects using varied formats, recycled materials and many household products, so the projects could easily be recreated at home.
Join us for our next Art Night!
