Over 350 attended, partook and enjoyed the 2017 Trivia BEE held at Cañada College in Redwood City. We truly appreciate the support of all that attended and volunteered at the event. It is because of our great community that we are able to continue to provide valuable literacy services. Thank you all!
It was a fierce competition this year, as 24 teams took to the stage vying for the title of Trivia BEE Champion. In the end, it was a repeat offender who took home the title, ZAP Think Tank, with their third consecutive win. Meltzer, Meltzer & Czechowski took second place and Sigma Phi Nothing placed third. These are the teams to beat next year, so start practicing now.
Some hot raffle items were a signed 49ers football and tickets to a Giant's game and a tour of the stadium. Beer was donated by Gordan Biersch and food was catered through Black Tie. To liven up the mood was our DJ, Jose Farias.
Two long-time Project READ families were honored during the event for their dedication and commitment to literacy: The Nunn Family and the Santiago/Torres Family.
We're looking forward to more fun and facts at next year's Trivia BEE. Hope to see you there!
