It's All About the BUILD!
Science, Technology, Creativity and a whole lot of GIRL POWER!

At Tuesday's Project STEAM club, 14 girls and 8 Junior League (JLPA.MP) tutors worked together in pairs and trios to build glowing pendulums, ballistas and kaleidoscopes using Kiwi Crates. They also did some open-ended valentines and were able to build using maple planks. Our science and tech-based girl's club offers our female youth a space to create and explore interdisciplinary activities alongside female mentors/tutors. This program allows access to science, math, technology and the arts within an empowering environment to girls that have been traditionally marginalized in science and technology.
