The season of giving is upon us, and one of our Project READ tutors helped kick off the season with a huge act of generosity. This year, to ensure all of our families enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast in their own homes, one tutor, who wishes to remain anonymous, donated turkeys, hams with all the fixings to 100 Project READ families. Second Harvest Food Bank stepped in to supply fresh vegetables to all 100 families. A true act of kindness and community spirit.
Project READ staff have been busy all week long grocery shopping, sorting food items and preparing Thanksgiving meal baskets for all our deserving families. To top off this amazing gift, our donor stopped in this week with roasting pans for our families to cook their turkeys in-- not a a detail overlooked this Thanksgiving.
THANK YOU to our generous donor, Second Harvest Food Bank and all of our Project READ supporters. This act of kindness will create a lifetime of memories.
