Think BIG. Build Big.

Over 40 learners and family members participated in our Family Learning Adventures (FLA) workshop this past weekend. FLA was created to inspire families to create, innovate and discover new skills together focused around STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) learning.

Projects ranged from processed art, sensory play and coding to large scale building. An exciting part of the day was the introduction of our new Rigamajig building set-- an oversized wooden building set designed to inspire three dimensional, hands-on free play. Students and volunteers of all ages engineered pretty amazing designs.

Other highlights included a cardboard challenge, threaded clay sculptures and washi tape butterflies, and mini sculptures made with kinetic sand. Students tried out new coding cards with our Dash robot. Kids and their caregivers also explored with Magna Tiles, Zoob Tubes, Keva planks, Snap Circuits and a marble run.

The day was made possible with the help of some of our Junior League (JL.PAMP) volunteers and teen tutors. It's always an amazing day when families create together.
