This month's Family Story Hour was focused around Spring! Ninety Project READ students and families attended our April Story Hour. All families were given the book Max’s Chocolate Chicken to add to their home library collections. Students were also able to choose books of their own from our Book Table. To add to the excitement of the evening, students were given Spring Baskets donated by Trinity Church, an annual and much loved spring tradition. Baskets were filled with age appropriate gifts ranging from books and school supplies to treats.
Zoo To You, wildlife educators, introduced students to animals with a hands-on presentation; a great reminder during Earth Day month of the importance of protecting and respecting nature and animals.
Students created egg-themed crafts including Washi Tape Egg, Toilet Paper Chick Craft, Egg Carton Bunny. Volunteers from HOBA were on hand to help with crafts, book distribution and set up.
