A Thanksgiving Story Hour

This week our learners and families joined together for our monthly Family Story Hour themed around Thanksgiving. There was lots to be thankful for, including our HOBA volunteers and family-favorite performer, Magic Dan.

Close to 100 people took part in the event, where students created artwork and an edible craft themed around Thanksgiving and the family book, Draw! Each family brought home a new copy of Draw!, as well as other self-selected titles to continue to build their home libraries.

Magic Dan mesmerized our families with his inspiring illusions during his family-friendly, interactive magic show. He pulled parents and students up on stage to help complete his tricks.

Our dedicated volunteers helped students create crafts and prepare for the event. We are truly thankful for them!
