Behind our students' achievements is a family celebrating each success. Last year, Giovani and his mom came to Project READ for help with his reading and school work. His mom was distraught over her son's struggle with reading. Now a second grader, Giovani just received the Student of the Month Award at his local elementary school, as well as an award for academic improvement. He has grown two reading levels over the past year. His mother was again almost brought to tears, but this time because of her son's amazing achievements. We know that behind all of Giovani's hard work is a dedicated mom. Congratulations to Giovani and his mom!
