The Crayons Trick or Treat

Halloween Art Activities

Today, we have a variety of Halloween inspired drawing ideas and a really cool art material - oil pastels! We'll show you a few ideas to get started - we can't wait to see what you come up with. If you don't have a literacy bag, then just grab some art supplies and paper or anything to draw on and get inspired!

From today's bag you'll need: -halloween doodle & invent a witch sheet -black cat patterns sheet -oil pastels -paper bags

From home you'll need: -markers, crayons or colored pencils

Directions

1. Black Cat Patterns: -use a white (or other color) oil pastel to add patterns to the cat -remember, a pattern is anything that repeats

2. Halloween Treat Bag -try some of the halloween doodles on our brown bags -start with bigger images and then fill in empty areas with smaller doodles -try a marker or colored pencil first since the oil pastel are so thick

3. Invent a Witch -Imagine a powerful witch -If they had one power what would it be? -What would they look like? -What would they be able to do?
