Welcome back! This week we are reading Dear Earth…From Your Friends in Room 5 written by Erin Dealey and illustrated by Luisa Uribe. Then grab a paper plate, scissors, crayons or scraps of paper and glue. And you can create your very own tree.


Dear Earth…From Your Friends in Room 5

Paper Plate Tree Craft

Materials:

  • 1 Paper plate

  • Tissue paper red, yellow and orange

  • Brown paper

  • Pencil

  • Scissors

  • Glue

Instructions:

  1. Cut some square shapes out of colored tissue paper

  2. Glue the squares onto a paper plate

  3. Using your pencil, trace your hand/arm print onto the brown paper

  4. Next cut out the shape of your arm/hand and now you will have your tree trunk

  5. Glue the tree trunk onto the paper plate.
